We’re so happy – and humbled – to share that our son, Cedric Richard Wheeler, is finally here.
Cedric had a rough start to life. He experienced trauma during birth and spent his first two weeks in the NICU at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville. As first-time parents, it was the most difficult experience we’ve ever been through – a time filled with fear, uncertainty, and helplessness. But through it all, the incredible team at Wolfson was right there beside us.
Their care, compassion, and professionalism gave Cedric the start he needed – and gave us strength as we tried to navigate those first fragile days.
We’re still recovering as a family. Day by day, things are getting a little more normal. Cedric is getting stronger and healthier, and we are slowly stepping into this new chapter together. We’re tired, a little overwhelmed – but mostly just so in love.

We’re excited (and maybe slightly terrified) to start this brand-new adventure as parents. There’s a long road ahead, but we’re grateful to be walking it together – now as a family of three.
